Does Your New Louis Vuitton Replica Smell Like Chemicals? Don’t Worry, Authentic Bags Stink Sometimes Too!louisvuitton Louis Vuitton News
Yesterday I posted an article on LV replica bags and something in my friend’s review caught my attention. Everything about her Louis Vuitton replica Neverfull was great, the quality was impeccable but the bag had a “plastic smell” to it.
This is not uncommon for replica bags but my point is that this sometimes happens with authentic bags too!
I don’t know if you remember this or not, but there was a similar scandal regarding authentic Hermes Birkin bags as well. People started complaining about their Hermes bags having a skunk smell and that the smell became unbearable every time the bag was exposed to direct sunlight. The brand proved to have a bad customer service but this is not what I want to discuss today. The real problem was that these bags that cost thousands of dollars literally stank! For more details here is the article:http://www.spotbags.cn/hermes-replica-handbags-vs-authentic-hermes-bags-stinky-issue/
But the same thing happened with Louis Vuitton bags as well a few years ago. People started talking their canvas LV bags having a strong “chemical” smell or even “fishy” smell to them because they’re made of coated fabric, not leather.
So you see, the whole story with authentic LV bags smelling like Heaven and LV replica bags smelling like Hell is not always true. Because based on just the smell, those bags could have been considered fake even if they were actually not. Because in the end both authentic LVs and fake Louis Vuitton bags are made of treated materials that can sometimes smell stronger than they should.
It really amused me that some considered this to be a minor problem and recommended to air the bag until the smell faded out while others considered this to be offensive. The reason why this was amusing to me is that I imagined what these people have said if those would have been Louis Vuitton replica handbags instead. Would the attitude have been the same or much more exaggerated?
What I’m trying to say here is that:
1. Not even authentic bags aren’t always perfect, so don’t expect replica bags to be perfect either.
2. Don’t judge a Louis Vuitton replica or any other replica by the way it smells. Just because the leather or the canvas were treated it doesn’t mean you should throw out that bag. Because you see, sometimes the solution is actually really simple!
So if you just got a new Louis Vuitton replica that has a smell to it, don’t panic! In most cases it’s very easy to get rid of the smell and it’s just a matter of days. It usually just needs airing and the smell is gone!
If the smell doesn’t go away that easy, here are some other tricks you can use for LV replica handbags made of canvas but also for replica bags made of leather. You can put some baking soda inside the bag or apply some moisturizing cream and leave the bag outside for a few days or you can spray some perfume on a piece of cloth or a little Febreeze and put it inside the bag. Also, you can use a small box of baking soda for a week along with activated charcoal to suck up the smell. I’ve also heard that cedar chips might do the trick. If none of these methods works, then you should probably start thinking your Louis Vuitton replica.
But remember, if this has happened to Hermes and Louis Vuitton, the most luxurious brands in the world, don’t be surprised or offended that it sometimes happens with replica bags too!
