These Alma bags are beautiful pieces that you can wear to spice up your outfit. They’ve been repackaged with new, exciting designs to choose from, and we don’t know how it could get any cooler than that! We know for a fact that this design has existed since the 1930s, and that it is one of the house’s iconic pieces (next to the Speedy and Noe Bag).
Whether in Malletage or in funky, graphic prints, we know you’ll never have enough of the Twist Bags. We love how the brand has incorporated another signature lock into new designs. What’s your favorite among these babies?
Oh, maybe Santa came in a little bit early, no? These cloth bags are something you’d have to contend with. Mixed emotions, definitely.
Which of these pieces are your favorite? Tell us what you think!

If you can recall what Louis Vuitton’s original Steamer Bag looks like (you know, the one that came with a single top handle that was meant to be hung and collect worn laundry), then you’ll find this one, Nicolas Ghesquière’s interpretation for Louis Vuitton’s Cruise 2016 collection, vaguely familiar.
Known as the City Steamer, the only thing that was kept from the original as far as I can tell is the clasp/padlock detailing that sits smack in the middle of the bag. You could also say that it’s structured like the original, with stiff stitched sides giving it that sharp polished finish. The handles, though, seem to be borrowed from the Dora, another bag created during Ghesquière’s ongoing tenure at the French luxury house.
In other words, it’s Louis Vuitton’s answer to the standard work tote with short top handles that come with an additional sling that OLs (or office ladies) the world over can love. The City Steamer comes in 3 sizes, the PM, the MM and the GM. Made of smooth calfskin, the PM measures 26 cm by 23 cm, the MM 31 cm by 26 cm and theGM, 34 cm by 29 cm.

Priced at SGD4850, SGD5600 and SGD6200 respectively for the 3 sizes in smooth calfskin, the ones that come in Black with gold hardware will be, in my opinion, perfect for work especially if you hail from the more serious professions. For everyone else (and for those who want a bit of fun), there’s always the tri-coloured ones, including the one in Vert Fonce that’s shown above.

But if that is still a tad ho-hum for your tastes, well, go for the one that comes with rivets made specially for the Cruise 2016 collection, or the ones in exotic crocodile that are mouth-wateringly droolworthy. Available soon at a Louis Vuitton boutique near you, stay tuned for more updates on the City Steamer right here; I have a feeling this won’t be the only post on this new bag offering anytime soon.

For style ideas, we turn to lookbooks…and we are ever-grateful for the kind of inspiration they give. So allow us to take you in for a spin while one of our favorite brands, Louis Vuitton, comes up with their own for Spring Summer 2016! Drool-worthy couture is everything for the budding fashionista, and trust us – we’re making notes of our own!
The over-all color palette for this lookbook may reflect a more subdued, neutral take but you can never mess with the basics! And of course, the luxury brand knows this fact very well…keeping it all under control. Still basic, but with attitude.
The Louis Vuitton Lookbook for Spring Summer 2016 was shot by the visionary Jurgen Teller, under natural lighting and with models posing in the studio behind glass – reflecting the sun, sights and Paris sky. There is no perfect background other than this, and the attention to detail on this lookbook is really obvious. We’re seeing some fashion-forward bags and footwear (have you seen the Twist Chain bag?)…actually, we’re just dying to get our hands on the pieces from this lookbook. So, any thoughts on this? Comment now!

It hardly seems like it should be time to think about Resort 2016 bags, but pre-orders are starting to pop up here and there, as well as the collections' ads. Over the past couple days, two of the biggest handbag-centric campaigns have debuted: Chanel and Louis Vuitton.
Not only are the photographs beautiful in their own right, but we always pay keen attention to ads because they often reveal bag styles that weren't on the runway, which means the public is getting a look at them for the first time. Chanel's ads were photographed by Karl Lagerfeld himself, while Vuitton looked to legendary photographer Patrick Demarchelier and LV campaign vets Michelle Williams and Alicia Vikander.
Both sets of ads reveal some exciting bags that will be in stores soon; once we know more about both collections, you'll be the first to hear about it.

Similar to the regular size, the bag also features the LV Twist Lock closure. It can be carried by hand, on the shoulder, or across the body.
