Fashion Trends

Louis Vuitton has finally launched their own magazine last October. The biannual magazine is entitled “The Book“. The first issue with Charlotte Gainsbourg on the cover which is translated in 11 languages, is not available in newsstands though, as it was only sent to selected customers globally. The magazine has 126 pages of photo shoots, interviews and various articles regarding the French fashion house. It also includes backstage shots of Juergen Teller from the Cruise 2015 show, an interview with French actress Catherine Deneuve, a feature on Nicolas Ghesquière’s debut collection for Louis Vuitton, a history on the iconic Keepall bag and men’s photo shoot in Iceland by Peter Lindbergh.

The magazine was edited by Sylvia Jorif from French Elle and art direction from Yorgo Tloupas.

Louis Vuitton Spring Summer 2015 Runway Bag Collection Part 2

Fashion Trends

As the models are walking with attitude and stealing the runway, the same bags are shown from the Fall Winter 2014 Collection, but each got an upgrade. It’s like purchasing the iPhone 6 – the colors are sharper, the details are more refined and the shape is slightly different.

Here is our advice; start expanding your budget, because what we will be sharing is beyond drooling:

The Petite Malle Shoulder Bag again, yes but now it’s different. The details are the same, like the iconic closure, the same body as the classic trunk bag and even the tag is there. But this bag has made ‘slouchy’, it’s softer and more practical to use as an everyday tote bag.

Think again, an iconic on your hand and you can use it everyday, life is great isn’t?

The Lady Bag returned with an ambition to steal our heart, its shown in lipstick red and monogram or in brown. But still, if you adore the Lady Bag, we think you should read all about it, in our detailed post:

We can talk hours about these bags, but the next Spring Summer 2015 seasonal ‘must have’ is the round-shaped tote bag. You can carry it by hand or use the long strap to cross body. But anyways, it’s funny how Louis Vuitton styled it. The shoulder strap is crossed behind the closure and it looks kind-of like an octopus with long tentacles.

We belief pictures tell the story, so check out the images and let us know what ya think, al right?

Louis Vuitton Spring Summer 2015 Runway Bag Collection

Fashion Trends

Okay, let me cheer you a bit up.

Yesterday was a bit disappointing, as one of our friend Glitzy W. pointed out: ‘What happened to Karl these two seasons’. The iconic’s were missing on the Spring Summer 2015 runway, which I belief, is something that we all have longed for.

But anyways, let us move on to Louis Vuitton Spring Summer 2015 Runway Bag Collection. A glimpse on what we can expect for the next season.

You might also know that Louis Vuitton has done very well for the Fall Winter 2014 Collection, a lot of iconic’s in new shapes and forms. A lot of choices and colors, I like it.

The Spring Summer 2015 Collection is the upgraded version of the F/W 2014. You see, all the bags we’ve posted so far, are going to come back, but they will be more beautiful, more luxurious and more probably more expensive.

Louis Vuitton’s Malletage Pochette Flap Bag will be available in sharp colors like ocean blue, strawberry red/pink, in white croco leather.

The Petite Malle handbags are being re-printed, with the same shapes and straps.

There is one bag that is new. It got a slouchy shape, like someone has stuffed the bag and needed to tighten the strap to get it closed. But that is actually the style.

Because there are too many images, we decided to split this post in two.

Louis Vuitton’s Spring 2015 Bags Show Nicolas Ghesquiere Coming Into His Own

Fashion Trends

Louis Vuitton Spring 2015 Handbags 6

There’s no doubt about it: Nicolas Ghesquiere knows exactly what he’s up to at Louis Vuitton. The designer sent his second major collection for the brand down his Paris runway yesterday morning, and the results felt like a strong continuation on what he’s built so far. On top of that, a lot of the bags were quite good.

If you didn’t like the Twist Bag that Ghesquiere debuted for Resort 2015, your feelings might be less enthusiastic. Although its raised, tubular LV logo still feels clunky to me, everything else about thebag is pretty good. Perhaps more importantly, it doesn’t feel like something Marc Jacobs would have made, and that’s vital for a brand looking for a new direction and new excitement. A particularly interesting series of Twist bags were made of Louis Vuitton Epi leather with significant color variation, which is a first for one of the brand’s most popular materials.

Another first: A red and black monogram print, as well as soft-sided versions of the Petite-Malle bag that was introduced with Ghesquiere’s first collection. Overall, there was plenty to look forward to.
