Louis Vuitton The Art of Travel Ad Campaign

Louis Vuitton News

The latest Louis Vuitton Ad Campaign – ‘The Art of Travel’ reminds us once again about its rich and long traditional travel collection. Well-designed luggage that never-breaks has the lusting appearance like a treasure box. The only thing that secures your bag from rebels and thieves is an iconic Louis Vuitton golden lock, which I belief has more of a decorative purpose than functional. The sophisticated monogram canvas is still, even today, recognized as the symbol of this brand.

Perhaps this is the reason why Nicolas Ghesquière retro the ‘Malle Trunk’ into a tiny Petite Malle shoulder bag for the Fall 2014 Collection. He understands and respects the history and heritage behind Louis Vuitton and most importantly, the Petite Malle shoulder has never been done before.

Imagine beyond the Art of Travel Campaign; it’s more than bags and looks, it’s trying to convey a story. Freedom – go wherever you want, to the most exotic countries, maintain your fashion no matter where you travel and only then the spotlight will follow you.

Louise Vuitton Petite Malle With Leather Cover

Louis Vuitton News

The dictionary translates ‘Malle’ as ‘Cabin Trunk, Trunk, Case, Suitcase’. And I can skip the word ‘Petite’, as you should already know (by now) what it exactly means. Yes, you’re absolutely right, ‘Petite’ means ‘Small’.

There you go, an extensive description of the hottest and newest Louis Vuitton Accessory from the Fall Winter 2014 Collection – the Small Trunk Shoulder Bag.

This post is following up on our previous review on the Louis Vuitton Petite Malle Bag, you see, this bag is quite similar, but it has that extra leather cover that makes it all intriguing and drop-dead gorgeous.

Wrapped around a brown vintage leather cover, a super thin strap that’s linked to both sides of the mini trunk bag. The golden hardware shines right through the roof and the crispy white color is perfect for every girl who demands fashion.

I am in love with this bag, I am in love with the leather cover, without it is like an iphone without its cover, a laptop without its case, a parker pen without the box, and a wallet without the cash.

This bag is one of the best designs from the Fall Winter 2014 Collection. At this moment, we do not know its price or size, but we will keep you informed, just like our Facebook page.

Louis Vuitton Cruise 2015 Collection by Juergen Teller

Louis Vuitton News

When Chanel introduced their Cruise 2015 Collection, Louis Vuitton is not far behind.

Juergen Teller had the opportunity to make some snap shots of the Cruise 2015 collection, which he has also done for the Fall Winter 2014 Collection. This is just a preview, a sneak peek, a starter to get your wallet prepared for what’s coming. I have to warn you, the Louis Vuitton Cruise 2015 Collection does look delicious, so brace yourself!

There are two bags that we want to highlight and we will post more details and information later on.

The first bag has already been reviewed, it’s the Louis Vuitton Petite Malle Bag, a treasure box inspired by Classic Malle Trunk. Purposely designed with a vintage look, tiny and wearable around your shoulder, you can also carry it by hand. We all know that Louis Vuitton’s story started with ‘luggage’, a long time ago. That’s why this tiny piece is a ‘must have’ as a collectable item. The price for this piece is going to be: $4,310 USD.

The second bag that caught our attention is the new Losange Doc BB Bag (in flap bag), as seen on the runway, you know the bag with diamond patterns. What you see on this picture is the same design, but instead of a tote, it’s in a flap bag with short chain. The combination of red and white stripes is eye-catching and the refinement with LV golden signature on the front flap is just to-die-for.

I really hope Louis Vuitton will also include a long shoulder strap, which will make it all complete.

And now, tell us, what do you think of the new collection, are you ready for the shopping spree?

Louis Vuitton The Icon And The Iconoclasts Celebrating Monogram Ad Campaign

Louis Vuitton News

The ‘Monogram Canvas’, symbol of Louis Vuitton. In 1854 Louis Vuitton established the house, but it’s his son Georges Vuitton that created the monogram in 1896, in honor of its father and it was also the day that an icon was born.

When the Monogram appeared, it was revolutionary. In the hands of Georges Vuitton, he transformed the icon into a universal symbol of modernity and today, the symbol has captured the minds of the people all around the globe.

In 1965 Gaston-Louis Vuitton recounted how his father, Georges Vuitton, had created the motifs on theMonogram Canvas: ‘First of all, the initials of the company – LV – are interlaced in such a way as to remain perfectly legible. Then a diamond. To give a specific character to the shape, he made the sides concave with a four-petal flower in the centre. Then the extension of this flower in a positive image. Finally, a circle containing a flower with four rounded petals.’

The Monogram is now recognised globally as a defining signature, both literally and metaphorically, of the House of Louis Vuitton. As it has travelled through time, certain of its features and meanings remain the same. Blurring the boundaries between craftsmanship, art and design, Louis Vuitton has repeatedly embraced the notions of innovation, collaboration and daring throughout The Monogram’s history.

It is within this context that Louis Vuitton’s ‘Celebrating Monogram’ project appears this year. It is a collection of works that shows the distinctly personal side of the Monogram; re-presenting something we think we all know in an extraordinary, individual and idiosyncratic way. Six creative iconoclasts – the best in their individual fields – who blur the lines between fashion, art, architecture and product design, have been given carte blanche to dictate and make whatever they see fit in the patterned canvas.

Louis Vuitton Monogram Iconoclasts Bag Collection

Louis Vuitton News

A few days ago, we revealed some history about the Louis Vuitton’s Monogram Print – how it got started? How it eventually grew into a world-famous icon? And today, we are going to reveal the details of this line. Introducing the Louis Vuitton Monogram Iconoclasts Bag Collection.

First what you need to know, is that these new bags are designed by famous designers and creative directors. In fact, there are six contributors to this amazing line, they are Christian Louboutin, Frank Gehry, Cindy Sherman, Rei Kawakubo, Marc Newson and Karl Lagerfeld. Every one of them received the assignment to blend the tradition of the monogram with their own experience and inspiration and the results are stunning.

Christian Louboutin couldn’t leave red and pumps alone, so he made a complete shopping trolley with envelope pouches and even golden studs. It’s a true blend between Louis Vuitton and Loubies. Wow!

Frank Gehry looked at every Louis Vuitton handbags and thought: ‘none of them got twisted, so let me do it’. Here’s a Louis Vuitton Twisted Box Bag, it creates a bit of illusion, and it looks like a wave with its unevenness. It’s kind-of a beauty box and it comes with a beautiful glass. But with the top handle, you can use it anywhere you want.

Rei Kawakubo put holes in a shopping tote, but to make sure your items do not leak, she puts another drawstring bag inside. It got enormous spacious and its certainly a conversation starter. Do you dare to invest in Louis Vuittonwith holes?

At Cindy Sherman, you get a complete ‘Studio Trunk’. Trunks have always been a tradition at Louis Vuitton, and you can get an extremely-large transportable-trunk to store your beauty accessories, jewelries and perhaps your shoes and so on.

Marc Newson goes where the trend is. Backpacks are so in right now. It’s so hot that Louis Vuitton released a complete new line. For the celebration of the Monogram, Marc Newson designed a couple more backpacks, which are great for the upcoming winter season.

And lastly, Karl Lagerfeld. Hmmm, where did he get inspired? Remember the last Chanel ad campaign? Yep, it was shot in the gym, with boxing gloves and so on. For the Monogram Iconoclasts Bag Collection, Karl Lagerfeld a series of punching bag (in three sizes PM, MM and GM) and also an monogram punching trunk.

Louis Vuitton Fall Winter 2014 Ad Campaign

Louis Vuitton News

Following up on the Louis Vuitton ‘A Dozen Girls’ Ad Campaign by Juergen Teller, Nicolas Ghesquière presents its first Ad Campaign for the Fall Winter 2014 Collection.

Every bag that we’ve featured on our site is carried by the models Charlotte Gainsbourg, Liya Kebede, Freja Beha Erichsen and Jean Campell. With a bit of old-school, the images were made ‘natural’, and it gives a great feel of how these bags will look when it’s transferred to your hands.

The petite malle bag is super cute, the monogram version is so-classic, and having one of these beauties in your wardrobe is like holding a piece of history of the brand. Inspired by the iconic Trunk Malle, Louis Vuitton has been designing luggage since 1858.

Then I can absolutely not deny that I’ve a weakness for the Alma bag. With a touch of vintage, the diamond pattern Alma Bag is a must-have as it comes with a traditional LV lock on the top and a tag hanging on the handle. It’s black meet beige with red stripes. This bag in BB size is expected to be priced at $3,570 USD.

Another bag that you must watch-out for is the newest Louis Vuitton Doc BB bag, they also have this in black with white diamond patterns and in red with white stripes for those that want to dress to impress. Its kind-of the alternative of the speedy bag, with optional modernized design. For those who like their dishes in ‘epi’, this Doc BB bag will also be covered in Epi Leather, the expected price will be $2,900 USD.
