When Sofia Coppola visited the Asnières workshops in 2009, she was dreaming of a bag. She wanted it to be precious and unostentatious, a subtle reworking of the iconic forms of the Speedy and Keepall models. Joining the pantheon of the House’s emblematic creations, the SC Bag has now been reinvented in small and mini versions, the height of charm and refinement.
Starting on September 21st, the SC bag will come in a special edition exclusively designed for Le Bon Marché Rive Gauche, a famous department store in Paris. May 2013 – Louis Vuitton and Abrams released on May 2013 an updated edition of The History of the Louis Vuitton Cup. This gripping account on the America’s Cup early days and Louis Vuitton Cup adventure, which became a saga over the last 30 years, is announcing the 2013 America’s Cup San Francisco series.
Since 1983, the Louis Vuitton Cup has been a rite of passage for yachters looking to challenge the defending champion of the America’s Cup, the world’s most prestigious sailing competition. Over the years, the instrumental role of Louis Vuitton has transformed what was once a friendly contest between sportsmen into a gripping competition that has sparked an international media sensation.
